With around 40 talented professionals across 4 offices in the UK, Your role as Architects Assistant / Junior Architect will be to work alongside project leads on larger schemes where you will be working on every aspect of the project, from preparing feasibility studies, design and access statements to door schedules and detailing. As a key team member you will have responsibilities and ownership of design and packages of information and be given the opportunity to present your proposals to the client.

Additional responsibilities for the Architects Assistant / Junior Architect

Presentation skills are critical to the design role; the ability to visual represent your ideals through both 2D diagrams as well as 3D sketches is key to driving your design ideas forward. Someone who can present their design/work through any form of media (CAD or Graphics/physical modelling/hand sketches).

Technical knowledge / awareness is key to good design; required is someone who understands construction, is comfortable on site and has shown how they have learnt from site feedback. Our client design compliant and buildable buildings from the initial stages. They are looking for applicants to demonstrate their technical knowledge.

Sustainable and modern innovative solutions are part of wholistic thinking, it would be beneficial to have some awareness to Passivhaus design, timber and modular construction.

Design through understanding the constraints of the project, from site to client parameters. Resolve problems through collaborative research. Self-manage time to meet ours and client aspirations.

Whilst the company offers step by step support and mentoring, provide opportunities to learn and continually develop your skill sets, they expect candidates to be self driven and have clear goals for you own development setting your own targets for us to step up and assist you in achieving them

Architects Assistance / Junior Architect

Min 3-5yrs post university experience
Can be part 2 or recently qualified architect based on the above criteria
We are seeking someone with a good set of rounded skills
Neat drawing skills (from presentation to technical detailing)
Clean modelling skills (both 3D and physical)
Organised
Confident in their ability to resolve problems
As an architect proven project coordination and managementThe position is remote based initially and in the spring of 2025 will move to a remote based working model with 2 days working in Leeds city centre.

Salary very much dependent on experience between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum plus benefits.
