Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Voids Surveyor with a solid understanding of building trades and construction. If you have a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma (or equivalent) in Construction/Built Environment, or broader qualifications supported by relevant experience, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and survey the Council's housing stock, including Council houses and garages.
Manage vacant properties, ensuring timely inspections and maintenance.
Specify and arrange necessary remedial, modernization, and improvement works.
Initiate work orders and oversee project delivery within statutory requirements and budget constraints.
Collaborate effectively within a team, including surveyors, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
Utilize strong influencing skills to engage with customers, ensuring their needs are met with tact and diplomacy.Qualifications and Skills:

Sound knowledge of building trades, construction, and maintenance.
BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Construction/Built Environment (or similar) preferred.
Relevant experience in the building industry.
Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to think clearly under pressure and balance conflicting priorities.
Initiative and problem-solving capabilities
