Microbiologist – Environmental Shift Monitoring Scientist

Kenton Black is a recruitment partner to a pharmaceutical testing laboratory based in the North West of England

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for microbiological testing and validation
• Conduct environmental monitoring
• Review and reconcile all environmental monitoring samples at the end of the production run to ensure all samples.
• Responsible for technical review of documents
• Provide updates to clients and keep in touch with external clients
• Responsible for performing environmental monitoring, media preparation and culturing microorganisms
• Perform microbiology testing such as, Bioburden testing, sterility testing and bacterial endotoxin testing, Concentration, and Conductivity
• Responsible for verification of laboratory data and review data
• Working according to GMP/cGMP guidelines

Qualifications:
• Degree or equivalent in Microbiology or related
• Previous experience in working with pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical testing laboratory (Microbiology testing laboratory)
• Previous experience in conducting environmental monitoring
• Experience working within a fast-paced, commercial analytical testing laboratory
• Experience in microbial validation
• Experience in working according to GMP guidelines
• Excellent communication and written skills
