IT Support & User Management Specialist

Our client, a forward-thinking organisation, is looking to hire a dedicated IT Support and user Management Specialist to handle essential in-house IT functions, support users, and manage hardware on a day-to-day basis. This could be the perfect opportunity if you are a proactive, customer-focused individual with strong IT troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:  

End User Support: Provide prompt and effective support to end users, resolve technical issues, and ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.

PC/Laptop Hardware: Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, ensuring all equipment remains in optimal condition.

Fault Management: Identify, document, and resolve IT faults

Software Installation & Configuration: Fulfilling software on PCs and laptops, adhering to company standards.

PC Patching: Regularly apply patches to keep systems updated and secure.

User Security: Manage user security settings, including permissions and password policies, to protect the integrity of our network.

PC Administration: Handle PC administration tasks, including updates, configuration, and routine maintenance.

Email Setup: Set up and manage user email accounts to facilitate smooth and secure communication across the company.

Support Request Logging: Log support requests, including setting up accounts for new users.

SQL Skills: SQL knowledge is highly advantageous and would make a candidate eligible for an enhanced salary.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proficiency in supporting PC and laptop hardware and software

Knowledge of SQL databases is a significant advantage

Detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of security and fault management

Strong communication skills to provide clear, user-friendly support and guidance

Ability to work proactively, manage multiple tasks, and troubleshoot independently
