A well-regarded primary school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Specialist SEN Mentor to join their team immediately. This role focuses on working closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, providing targeted academic and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a degree in any subject and a strong ability to build rapport with children. Previous experience in roles such as tutoring, coaching, or youth work is advantageous but not essential.

This opportunity is perfect for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in education and offers an excellent foundation for careers in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN-focused fields.

Key Responsibilities

As a Specialist SEN Mentor, you will:

Provide individual and group support to pupils with Autism and complex needs, enabling them to thrive.
Assist in delivering tailored literacy and numeracy sessions in partnership with classroom teachers.
Foster strong relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and personal development.

Position Details

Role: SEN Specialist
Location: Reading
Pay Rate: £83 - £95 per day (based on qualifications and experience)
Contract: Long-term temporary with the potential to become permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
