Job Advertisement: Qualified English Teacher (Secondary Schools)

Position: English Teacher - KS3 and KS4
Location: Swadlincote

Employment Type: Full-Time, Long-term - until December 2024 with potential extension.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic team in a secondary school located in Swadlincote. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to planning, marking, and participating in parents' evenings.

As part of the English department, you will collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching.

Key Responsibilities:
* Teach English Literature and Language to KS3 and KS4.
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the curriculum requirements.
* Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback.
* Participate in department meetings and collaborate with colleagues.
* Attend parents' evenings and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:
* Must hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Previous experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
* Strong knowledge of the English curriculum at Key Stages 3 & 4.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a department.
