Junior Underwriter

We have a fantastic job opportunity for new and ambitious Insurance underwriters who are looking to further their career in Commercial Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing applications: Carefully examining insurance applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company guidelines.

Assessing risk: Evaluating the potential risks associated with each application, considering factors like the insured's health, occupation, or property condition.

Gathering information: Collecting and verifying necessary documentation, such as medical records or property assessments.

Making recommendations: Suggesting whether to approve or deny insurance coverage based on their risk assessment.

Learning from experienced underwriters: Working closely with senior underwriters to gain knowledge and develop their skills.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

Strong analytical skills

Attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in computer software, especially spreadsheets and databases

A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., finance, business) can be helpful.
