Quality Engineer, Ferndown, £45,000

Purpose of the role

As a Quality Engineer, you will take responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 standards. Your primary goal will be to instil a 'right first time' culture across both internal production and external manufacturing processes.

As a Quality Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Product testing, including strategic testing as needed.
Implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and preparing for future standards (e.g., ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).
Standardising business practices and managing change, process flows, and revision control of all procedures.
Managing non-conformance control, internal quarantines, and conducting internal audits.
Leading Corrective Action Reports (CAR) for customer returns and complaints.
Supporting top-level project reviews and facilitating product release processes.
Establishing good inward inspection practices and auditing supply chain partners to ensure compliance with company quality expectations.
As a Quality Engineer, you will have:

Proven experience with ISO 9001 standards and Quality Management Systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience in supply chain management and conducting supplier audits.
Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and methodical approach to problem-solving.
