Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging textiles lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Encourage creativity and innovation through practical and theoretical lessons.
- Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Incorporate a range of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance and achievements.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times in the classroom and during practical sessions.

Qualifications and Skills

- A degree in Textiles, Design, or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.desirable fut not essential
- Experience teaching textiles or design subjects at the secondary school level.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the textiles curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire, engage, and motivate students.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital design tools.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
