Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: London

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Director of the company. This will be within the company with involvement across the company’s operations.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

* Manage and process all finance and accounting operations, including billing, revenue recognition, payments (incoming/outgoing), payroll, and accounts payable.

* Coordinate the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitor variances, and prepare timely monthly financial statements.

* Ensure compliance with group business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.

* Maintain the debtors' ledger, reconciling balances with customer statements, and monitor outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment.

* Collaborate with Commercial and Construction teams to help resolve disputes regarding deliveries and payments

· Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and streamline company processes.

· Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

· Manage cash flow, including accounts receivable and payable, to ensure optimal financial health.

· Conduct financial analysis to identify project overruns, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.

· Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing regular updates.

· Responsible for reviewing and approving expenses for the business.

· Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, taxes, and other financial obligations.

Qualifications:

· Degree or similar qualification in Accounting, ICAS/ACA/ACCA/CIMA

* Multiple accounts management, settling accounts and introducing processes and systems in place

* Minimum of 10 years experience in construction-based accountancy

* Extensive experience with XERO and also integrating other softwares within XERO.

· Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Xero and Excel.

* In line with data protection, GDPR, handbook regulations and sharing data with third parties outside of the company

* Ability to adapt and react efficiently to immediate changes

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Strong leadership abilities.

· High attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· An inquisitive nature to ensure you can identify areas of improvement and offer solutions.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to support senior management.

Hybrid working is available after six months of working in-house and understanding all the processes of the business
