The position of Class 1 Night Trunk Driver involves:

This will involve trunking from South Molton to Birmingham, reloading and returning to South Molton.
Hours are based 'as and when required'. This is to help cover sickness, holidays and peak periods.
You may also be required to cover internal trunking.
Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
Completing daily vehicle checks on your company phone.
Working closely with the network hubs.
Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customer's expectations.
Attending regular training sessions.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver:

Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence with at least 6 months experience.
Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
Working to deadlines.
Confident, polite and a team player.
Good geographical knowledge.
Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

Hourly pay rate for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver is 13.76ph with an extra £2.75 when working between 21:00hrs and 04:00hrs.
Hours are to help cover sickness and holidays, plus any peak periods.
