Key Account Director

Specialists in providing engineered above ground drainage and water supply systems, Polypipe Building Services leverages offsite fabrication to design and deliver solutions to mechanical and public health engineers, M&E contractors as well as local authorities. Polypipe Building Services houses well-known industry brand Terrain and has been delivering systems to commercial, high rise residential, healthcare, education and leisure projects for over 50 years.
Overview: Effectively manage and grow our turnover with large regional and national Main & M&E Contractors, strategically and successfully grow sales for the portfolio of products within Polypipe Building Services. To work closely with colleagues across the business and wider group in leveraging relationships and opportunities in both contracting and distribution channels, to create demand, identify and deliver incremental business, and strengthen the brand within the industry.
Responsibilities:

To effectively manage identified and targeted accounts through clear and relevant management KPI’s, creating strategic partnerships with our customer base.

To deliver sales results in line with business requirements - both budgeted and targeted plans which relate to both volume, sales, margin and mix of products.
*
To personally manage high level relationships and grow key accounts in both contracting and distribution.
*
To work closely with other areas of the business and ensure that the business realises any additional benefit through early engagement or specification.
*
To be instrumental in developing and contributing to strategic growth plans for the Polypipe Building Services business, and maintain the required standard of regular management reporting.
*
Conduct structured regular reviews in line with the segmentation criteria with all senior management contacts within the categorised accounts. These accounts will be reviewed annually and will qualify based on their 12 month spend and growth potential.

Conduct minimum quarterly structured reviews with the regional senior management teams within the key National Distribution accounts, ensuring there are key focus and growth objectives which can be measured using clear KPI’s. These reviews need to include all necessary departments: Product management, Sales management, and the higher exec level contacts where appropriate.

Research and identify new development and growth opportunities for the brand, and through this create or contribute to the wider development of a strategic plan to drive growth beyond the market on an ongoing basis.

To represent the company where appropriate on customer or corporate events
*
Incorporate a relationship matrix within the targeted organisations to match and grow our account penetration within Polypipe Building Services
*
To grow innovation product sales, which will include but is not limited to supply pipework and our fabrication offering
Skills/Requirements:
*
Proven and experienced sales professional with a solid understanding of our market, products, and customer base, and a track record of working on large scale commercial projects,
*
Able to demonstrate excellent key account management skills
*
Ability to effectively create and deliver on individual customer strategic plans while ensuring day to day sales targets are met.
*
This role requires a high level of activity and travel, whilst also ensuring that the level of detail, accuracy and reporting is kept up to date.
*
The person in this role will form part of our Senior sales leaders and a significant input of our budgeted turnover and margin
