Job Opportunity: Project Controls Assistant

Location: London / Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-time

Are you ready to play a vital role in supporting the delivery of major projects and programmes? We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Controls Assistant to join our team. You’ll work closely with the Project Controls Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of projects through planning, cost management, risk evaluation, and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain and update programme plans using project management software.

* Support risk and opportunity management by maintaining registers and producing reports.

* Assist with document management and the upkeep of project records.

* Contribute to functional governance and value-added services within the programme.

* Assist in managing the change control process and support client-specific reporting requirements.

* Implement project controls activities to meet project objectives.

* Update internal systems, including digital tools such as Power BI Reports.

* Prepare and compile reports for internal and client presentations.

Essential Skills and Experience

* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.

* Exceptional administrative, coordination, and organisational abilities.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).

* Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple demands effectively.

* Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

Desirable Skills and Experience

* Knowledge of construction or infrastructure projects.

* Familiarity with project management frameworks and tools such as MS Project and Power BI.

* Experience in document management and risk/value management.

* Exposure to producing programme-specific reports.

Qualifications

* Degree-level education (desirable).

* Membership of a relevant professional body (desirable).

* CSCS certification (desirable).
