Are you an experienced MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician looking for a new role? Steer Automotive Group, is known for delivering high-quality automotive repair services, and we’re excited to welcome a skilled MET Technician to our modern Bury St Edmunds bodyshop.

About the Role: As an MET Technician, you’ll be essential in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Working on a variety of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:

* Mechanical & Electrical Repairs: Perform repairs and replacements, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment.

* Vehicle Dismantling: Safely and efficiently dismantle vehicles for panel repairs.

* Diagnostics & Inspections: Identify and diagnose faults to determine the required repairs.

* Parts Management: Order and manage replacement parts effectively.

* Reassembly & Quality Control: Ensure vehicles are reassembled to meet manufacturer standards and safety guidelines.

* Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure repair progress is communicated clearly.

About You: You’re an experienced MET Technician with a strong track record in accident repair and are passionate about delivering high-quality work. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage your workload efficiently, and always aim for excellence.

Qualifications and Skills:

* Experience: Proven expertise as an MET Technician, including work with electric and hybrid vehicles.

* Technical Skills: Knowledge in ADAS, wheel alignment, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.

* Efficiency: Ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks effectively.

* Attention to Detail: Commitment to high standards and following manufacturer guidelines.
