Programme Manager

Our client, a renowned global electronics company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Programme Manager to spearhead their Product Development Department. The company operates worldwide and boasts a well-established presence with manufacturing, R&D, and commercial operations on a single campus.

Role Overview
The Programme Manager will oversee a portfolio of projects within the Product Development Department, ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery while maintaining high standards of quality. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills, along with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Development: Create and implement a project management process based on industry best practices, customised to meet the company's unique requirements. Work closely with project managers and technical leads to ensure consistent application across all projects.
Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables for each project within the portfolio.
Resource Management: Design and implement processes and tools for effort recording, work estimation, and capacity planning. Prioritise tasks and allocate resources to ensure project completion within budget.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including team members, clients, and the leadership team, to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
Risk Management: Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions and ensure successful project outcomes.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and make adjustments where necessary to ensure financial objectives are met.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet established standards and requirements.
Reporting: Prepare regular progress updates and presentations for the executive leadership team, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and challenges.
Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to project teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance work culture.The Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Manufacturing/Engineering/Project Management, or related field.
5+ years' experience in Project/Programme Management, preferably in the electronics or technology sector (although not essential).
Strong knowledge of PM methodologies, Agile/Waterfall.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments is a plus.
Project Management qualification is advantageous, PMP/Prince2/Lean-six-sigma
