Our client, a reputable legal firm, are currently seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join their team based in North Birmingham. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Family Solicitor to join their dynamic family law department. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, financial settlements, and domestic violence cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal expertise, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to client care.

Duties for the Family Solicitor will include but not be limited to the following:

Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in various family law matters, including divorce, separation, child custody, and financial disputes.

Manage a diverse caseload of family law cases from initial consultation to resolution, including negotiation, mediation, and litigation when necessary.

Attend court hearings and represent clients in family court proceedings.

Draft legal documents, including petitions, agreements, and court submissions.

Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong cases and provide accurate legal advice.

Liaise with clients, opposing solicitors, and third-party professionals in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law legislation and best practices.

Support and mentor junior staff and trainees within the family law team.

Contribute to the growth and development of the family law practice through networking and business development activities.

The ideal candidate for the Family Solicitor will have the following:

UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 8 years of experience in family law.

Strong understanding of family law legislation and procedures.

Proven track record of managing complex family law cases successfully.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.

Empathetic approach and commitment to delivering excellent client service.

Experience in public law, children’s proceedings and/or alternative dispute resolution methods (mediation, collaborative law).
