Operating Hours: Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM Monday, Thursday & Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Description:

As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you will be an integral part of our dental team, assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure smooth operations in the clinic. You will work closely with experienced dental professionals and receive on-the-job training to develop your skills in dental nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during patient examinations and treatments
Prepare and maintain the dental surgery, including sterilising instruments and setting up equipment
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required
Provide support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after procedures
Ensure patient records are accurately updated and maintained
Adhere to health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and practice guidelines
Manage stock levels and order supplies when needed
Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge

Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate attitude towards patients
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Ability to work well within a team and take direction from experienced staff
A desire to develop professionally within the dental field
Previous experience in healthcare or a customer-facing role is a plus, but not essential

A strong desire to learn and develop within the role
Proof of enrolment in a recognised dental nursing course
Ability to remain composed and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Hepatitis B vaccinated
Legal right to work in the UK, valid Visa, National Insurance Number
Resides within a reasonable distance from the practice
