Job Description
The Management Accountant plays a pivotal role in our business, as the Finance function is responsible for reporting to both the on-site senior leadership team and Canon. The role will initially involve working with team members to ensure that Management Accounts are delivered on time, by ensuring that the underlying transactional data is processed, month-end procedures are completed, and reporting deadlines are achieved. It is intended that the role will evolve over time to take responsibility for the Management Accounts preparation and reporting as the company transitions to SAP
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately processing purchase invoices and time sheets
* Processing payments and receipts efficiently while ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial protocols
* Conducting comprehensive bank reconciliations involving multiple currencies
* Accurate balance sheet reconciliations
* Communicating with suppliers to resolve any queries
* Overseeing and running the month end close
* Accurately entering and maintaining data within the Canon system
* Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns, Intrastat and EC sales lists
* Cashflow forecasting
* Providing support and assisting with various ad hoc analysis
* Prepare & process prepayments, accruals, and month-end journals
Key Requirements
To be successful in your application you will need to:
* Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, as well as within a team environment
* Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
* Advanced excel skills, and a passion for manipulating data for all manner of reporting and analysis
* Experience using SAP software
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
