About the Role

As a Key Stage 1 SEN Primary Teacher, you’ll:

Develop and deliver engaging, tailored lessons for children with autism and other complex needs.

Foster academic and emotional growth within a sensory-rich, structured environment.

Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to provide holistic support.

Undertake personal care duties, ensuring every child’s dignity and well-being.

Be based in Felixstowe, Suffolk, surrounded by the beauty of the Suffolk coast.

Your Responsibilities

Plan and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils with autism and non-verbal communication needs.

Work closely with parents and carers to create a positive learning journey.

Build strong relationships with colleagues, working as part of a whole-school team.

Monitor and report on each pupil's progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.

About You

To thrive as a Key Stage 1 SEN Primary Teacher in Felixstowe, Suffolk, you should have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for working with children with complex needs.

Experience teaching primary-aged learners, with a strong understanding of autism and sensory processing disorders.
