Contract: Full-time

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school, starting in November. This full-time position will see you working closely with Year 4 students, providing tailored support to children with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they have the best possible learning experience.

SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, helping them engage with the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Assist the class teacher in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students.
Implement personalised education plans (IEPs) and strategies in collaboration with the SENCo and class teacher.
Encourage social, emotional, and behavioural development through supportive and nurturing interactions.
Promote independence and inclusion in both classroom activities and daily school life.
Adapt resources and materials to meet the individual needs of SEN pupils.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Previous experience working with special needs children in a primary school setting.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach, with a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
