We are seeking an experienced History Teacher to join our school in East London. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the national curriculum and be passionate about teaching History to young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging lessons to students in Key Stage 3 & 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5.
Meet the diverse needs of students by delivering lessons using differentiated instructional techniques.
Educate students about literature and promote their appreciation of it.
Engage students in reading aloud, discussions, and debates to develop their verbal skills.
Developing students' writing skills and providing opportunities for critical thinking development.
Ensure that the classroom environment is safe and flexible for students to learn effectively.
Establish a collaborative and independent working environment for students.
Monitor student learning and adapt instruction methods to meet individual needs.
Inform parents or guardians about students' academic progress and social and behavioural issues.

Requirements:

An excellent understanding of the national curriculum guidance for History.
Ability to engage pupils in History as a subject by encouraging and inspiring them.
Motivating pupils to reach their full potential with genuine enthusiasm.
Ability to plan and design effective lessons using a variety of teaching methods.
Establishing an environment that fosters English learning for the pupils.
Safeguarding the welfare of children is a priority.
