Electrical Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in preventative and reactive maintenance, demonstrate strong diagnostic abilities, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within a fast-paced factory environment.

Hours:

* 4 shifts on & 4 days off 12hr shifts. Two shifts of 7am-7pm followed by two shifts of 7pm-7am.

* Days – Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm.

Responsibilities:

* Adhere to the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation.

* Ensure statutory inspections are completed on time and that any required remedial actions are properly logged.

* Identify and implement improvements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

* Perform timely repairs and breakdown resolutions, utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement corrective and preventative measures.

* Maintain exemplary housekeeping standards within a structured 5S environment.

* Collaborate with external professionals and specialists as needed to support operational excellence.

* Uphold Health & Safety standards, addressing and escalating any risks or issues.

* Work closely with the Engineering Supervisor and Production Shift Managers to ensure smooth operations.

* Communicate effectively within the team, showing initiative and leadership when required.

* Contribute to an Engineering team that delivers world-class services and solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

* Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent (e.g., HND, HNC, ONC, City & Guilds) in a relevant subject.

* At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a high-paced factory environment.

* Comprehensive knowledge of Planned and Reactive Maintenance, including fault finding and diagnostics.

* Expertise in PLC systems and HMI controls.

* 17th/18th Edition certification is required.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
