Midday Supervisor

Hours: Part-time, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

About the Role:
We are looking for a caring and dedicated Midday Supervisor to join our team at a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Nottingham. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with diverse needs during lunchtimes, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. You will play a key role in maintaining a calm and inclusive environment while assisting with personal care, mealtime supervision, and helping students to engage in positive lunchtime activities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise students during lunch breaks in the dining hall, playground, or classroom as required

* Assist with personal care needs, including toileting and hygiene, where necessary

* Support students in eating their lunch and encourage good table manners

* Promote a safe and positive atmosphere, intervening when necessary to manage challenging behaviour

* Encourage and engage students in lunchtime activities to support their social and emotional development

* Work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure the well-being and safety of all pupils

* Respond to any accidents or incidents promptly and report them to the appropriate staff member

About You:

* Previous experience working in an SEN setting is desirable, but not essential

* Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure

* A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection

* The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families

* Willingness to assist with personal care and support individual needs

* Team player with excellent communication skills
