The role:
As an Account Handler you will be working within a specialist and exciting division, servicing existing clients whilst being commercially aware of any new business opportunities.
More detail:
Deal with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner.
Work within agreed authority levels.
Review the demands and needs of customers and advise on the most appropriate insurances to meet their demands and needs.
Increase client base wherever possible.
Convert insurance needs to sales.
Lead and process client new business, renewals, midterm adjustments and lapses in accordance with current procedures and FCA requirements.
Input accurate data onto the back-office systems.
Liaise with Insurers and other third parties regarding the administration of client's insurance needs.
Assess, assimilate, analyse and present to insurers and underwriters to achieve risk acceptance at the most advantageous rate.
Prepare customer reports on both new and existing risks to support the commercial lines manager/supervisor.
Take ownership for actioning and updating Diary System as advised and within defined time scale.The Person:
Due to the nature of the role dealing with existing clients, previous commercial insurance experience is essential for this role.
Commercial insurance experience ideally in respect of schemes business.
Ability to build successful, mutually helpful business/client relationships.
Understanding of broking and underwriting process.
Highly organised, with good planning skills.
Able to work flexibly to achieve tight deadlines/targets.
Completion of / progress towards CII.Basic salary for this role will be £35000 plus company bonus and comprehensive benefits.
