GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch is looking to appoint an ambitious, energetic, and passionate PE Teacher to work at an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary School located in Selby, North Yorkshire for a December 2024 start.

PE Teacher Responsibilities:
Deliver PE lessons to secondary students with diverse range of abilities including GCSE and BTEC PE
Working with young students to enhance their teamwork and social skills.
Track students’ progress, ensuring lessons are accessible and inclusive for all.
Demonstrating proper techniques and providing clear instructions to ensure students understand and can perform the activities correctly.
Maintaining a safe environment during physical activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the PE curriculum effectively.
Ensure highest standards of safeguarding and health and safety during lessons.
PE Teacher Requirements:
Have experience planning and delivering GCSE and BTEC PE.
Have knowledge of different complex needs, associated learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.
Be able to provide a 10-year career history with relevant reference details, including 2 most recent employers.
Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
