Full-Time Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Chesterfield

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team at a vibrant two-form entry primary school located in the North Chesterfield suburb. This is a full-time position, supporting Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) students who are working below their expected progress in key subject areas.

Key Details

Start Date: January 2025 (or ASAP)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Contract: Fixed-term until July 2025

Role Responsibilities

Provide targeted support to KS1 and KS2 students, helping them close gaps in their learning across core subjects.
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored interventions and adapting the curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher as needed.

What We're Looking For

A Level 2 (or above) Teaching Assistant qualification.
Confidence and experience in supporting the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
A passion for helping children succeed and a patient, proactive approach to learning support.
Availability to work full-time during the specified hours.
