The below job description will outline this position of: Marine Electrician

Typically, this person will assist with the electrical installation onboard new build boats and also complete maintenance and refit work on vessels.

Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Electrician:

• Reading and interpretation of technical drawings
• Neatly install electrical systems on board new build vessels
• Refit, repair and run routine maintenance on completed electrical systems
• Test your own work to recognised standards (IEE 17th Test and Inspect)
• Install control cabinet enclosures

Qualifications and requirement for the Marine Electrician:

• A proven track record in a marine electrical role
• Experience with 3-phase, motors, motor starters, distribution systems
• Extremely neat work
• NVQ level 3 or Apprenticeship Qualification or equivalent experience
