The company are an established, independently owned and well-respected Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning contractor who provide a full range of HVAC services from design through to installation and commissioning to various sectors including Commercial, Private Hospitals, and Laboratories, with typical project values ranging from £100k up to £2m, and as a result of continued growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join the team.

Mechanical Estimator - Duties & Responsibilities:

* Analyse project specifications, drawings, and related documents to ascertain the scope of work and necessary materials.

* Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather relevant information for accurate estimates.

* Review and assess bids and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.

* Communicate and present estimates to project teams and clients.

* Maintain and update a database of cost estimates and historical project data.

* Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a HVAC estimator or mechanical building services estimator.

* Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

* Strong communication and negotiation skills.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

* Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Remuneration Package:

£65,000 - £70,000 according to experience, plus Bonus scheme, Private Healthcare, Pension, 24 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
