Provectus Recruitment are excited to offer this incredible opportunity, for an EC&I engineer to join an innovative, well-funded start-up in Cambridge, that have pioneered novel technology that will be used to transform the energy market, by using waste-heat to create sustainable fuels.

You will be joining a highly scientific business that is about to enter the production phase of their product. This position will allow the candidate complete autonomy to develop the Electrical Control & Instrumentation elements in whichever way they deem suitable. You will be part of the first engineering team within the business and have a broad range of responsibility and a large influence in the way EC&I is done.

You will be given autonomy, the ability to make decisions and influence, you will be heard, and your expertise will be leaned on. This role could very well develop into a leadership position as the business grows.

Key Duties

The focus of this role will be to Design & Develop Electrical, Control & Instrumentation designs, whilst focusing on electrical safety, compliance, quality, reliability & cost.

* Electrical, control & instrumentation design (Pressure, Temperature, Flow, Measurement)

* Electrical safety

* Software design specs

* Instrumentation schedules

* Process & Instrumentation Designs (P&ID)

* Cable schedules

* Logic diagrams

* Safety cases

* FAT Testing of finished systems

If possible

* Define/Write PLC EC&I programs using C/C++

* Design & configure HMI
