Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager ready to advance into a Technical Manager role.

The Role

The Technical Manager will be instrumental in ensuring that the company’s products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. This role involves overseeing all aspects of technical compliance, leading site audits, and acting as the key point of contact for retail customers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage all site audits, including BRC, retailer, and customer-specific audits, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

* Serve as the primary technical contact for multiple major retail customers, maintaining strong relationships and effectively managing their technical requirements.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, food safety, and compliance.

* Ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of quality systems, including HACCP plans and all necessary documentation.

* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Production, NPD, Procurement) to support product development and ensure high-quality outcomes.

* Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

Our client is seeking a candidate with extensive experience in food manufacturing and a deep understanding of technical and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have:

* Proven experience as a Quality Manager within the food manufacturing industry, with strong technical expertise.

* Demonstrated success in leading BRC and retailer/customer audits, showcasing a thorough understanding of food safety standards.

* Experience managing relationships with multiple major retail customers, demonstrating the ability to handle complex requirements.

* In-depth knowledge of HACCP, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance.

* A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

* A passion for continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety.
