Mechanical Project Manager

Title: Mechanical Project Manager
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 (including additional company benefits)
Location: Central London, England
Company Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading UK building services contractor known for delivering some of London's largest and most complex projects. Following substantial growth over the past five years, this contractor has established itself as one of London's most reputable, providing engineering-led installations for tier-one principal contractors across Zones 1-4.
Starting in January, my client will embark on a flagship, mixed-use, design-and-build project valued at £45 million M&E, in collaboration with a globally recognised principal contractor. They are actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the design, procurement, and execution of the mechanical packages for this major project in Central London.
Candidates should have a proven track record in delivering projects valued over £30 million MEP with an established London-based business. This project will include both shell-and-core and fit-out phases, so a Mechanical Project Manager from an engineering-led background would be ideally suited to this role.
In return, this opportunity offers a market-leading salary, along with the potential for progression to directorship for motivated individuals. Additionally, you'll have the unique experience of contributing to a landmark project in London and benefit from an unparalleled training and development program with a company dedicated to its employees' growth.
Responsibilities/Skills & Experience
Recognised qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, managing projects valued at £30 million M&E or more, particularly in MEP design & build, mixed-use schemes, residential or commerical schemes.
Expertise in delivering both shell and core, and fit-out packages is essential.
Proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction phase through to successful project handover.
Strong leadership skills, capable of managing on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high standards of mechanical installation.
Effectively maintain client relationships, attend regular progress meetings, and act as the main point of contact for mechanical concerns or design changes.
Overseeing procurement of mechanical materials and equipment, ensuring that all purchases align with project budgets and timelines.
Monitoring installations to ensure they meet regulatory standards, high-quality expectations, and project specifications.
Upholding health and safety standards on-site and ensuring all works adhere to relevant legislation and building codes.
Providing regular reports to senior management and clients, detailing project progress, forecasts, and any necessary adjustments.Remuneration Package
Competitive salary ranging from £75,000 to £90,000, based on experience and proven capabilities.
