Job Overview

Join a cutting-edge maritime technology team and play a crucial role in developing sophisticated electronic control systems for naval applications. We're seeking a skilled Wirer Fitter to contribute to high-precision electronic assembly and support mission-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Assemble and wire electronic control cubicles and sub-assemblies using detailed technical drawings and circuit diagrams

* Ensure exceptional quality and compliance with industry standards (IPC610/IPC620)

* Prioritize build sequences and troubleshoot material and design challenges

* Collaborate closely with engineering and quality teams

* Support prototype equipment development

* Guide and train new team members and apprentices

Required Skills

* Apprenticeship training in technical field

* Proven experience in manufacturing or similar technical assembly role

* Excellent ability to interpret technical documentation

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills

* Meticulous attention to detail

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

* Awareness of quality and environmental management systems

Qualifications

* GCSE Grade C/4 in Maths and English (or equivalent)

* IPC 610 & 620 certification

* J-STD-001 soldering standard qualification

* Experience with ERP systems

* Ability to work with pipe work for water-cooled equipment

Additional Requirements

* Valid UK driving license

* Eligible for SC-level security clearance

* Flexibility for occasional UK and international travel

* Willingness to work overtime and unsociable hours
