**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct route tour inspections and shadow OC safety inspection programmes.
- Identify and verify category 1 defects, ensuring accurate recording and assessment.
- Monitor and manage litter issues, coordinating with local authorities and OC for resolution.
- Oversee schemes within warranty periods, raising and monitoring ORIs and HAZ as necessary.
- Maintain detailed registers and contribute to monthly and annual reports.
- Ensure compliance with Chapter 8 and PPE requirements during OC roadworks.
- Inspect, audit, and monitor asset inventory and Supplier compliance with contracts.
- Verify the accuracy of Suppliers' records and confirm adherence to specifications.
- Issue notices based on site inspections and contribute to Employer-required reports.
**Skills and Experience Required:**
- **Educational Background:** HNC/HND in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
- **Extensive Experience:** Proven track record in inspecting, monitoring, and reporting on Supplier compliance with contracts and specifications related to road construction and maintenance.
- **Technical Proficiency:** In-depth knowledge of maintenance and construction works associated with road networks.
- **Attention to Detail:** Ability to verify the accuracy of records and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- **Communication Skills:** Strong ability to contribute to detailed reports and effectively communicate findings.
