Opportunity

Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working with an innovative and highly successful Oxfordshire-based independent property business who are looking to recruit an organised and communicative Property Manager to join a specialist team within their North Oxford office.

As Property Manager within this specialist team, you will be responsible for working with estate owners and leaseholders to manage the day-to-day upkeep of a varied portfolio of commercial and residential properties.

This role is not estate agency and will instead therefore bear responsibility for not only overseeing contracted maintenance but also attending client meetings, regularly liaising with surveyors and contractors to resolve complex issues, project managing major works and preparing budgets, producing regular reports and co-ordinating compliance with legal obligations alongside other ad-hoc duties.

Alongside day-to-day duties, Thompson & Terry Recruitment’s client is also looking for a candidate who will be involved with undertaking site inspections, agreeing scope of works for more simple repair jobs, and will take responsibility for ensuring that Health & Safety regulations and being implemented and adhered to.

Just to stress whilst this is a varied and interesting role with a genuine career path, due to nature of property management, the successful candidate must be confident and resilient to deal with complex challenges, whilst being able to build genuinely great working relationships.

The successful Property Manager will be forward-thinking, highly organised and able to work to a high standard within a team. This Property Manager role would be well suited to a candidate who is professional yet entrepreneurial in their approach whilst remaining open to change and excited about the possibility work within an energetic and fast-moving team.

Requirements

* A genuine desire to constantly learn and to build a long-term career within Block/Property Management

* Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the confidence to professionally manage difficult conversations

* A real problem solver with the ability to work effectively alongside a team

* Able to take initiative and effectively prioritise a high workload whilst maintaining an exceptional standard of work

* As this role will involve arranging and attending regular property visits, you must hold a Full UK driving licence
