Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: Stafford, Staffordshire.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £29k + Training + Benefits

We are working with a leading and professional provider of Asbestos Management services who are now seeking to take on a qualified and hard-working Asbestos Lab Analyst. The successful candidate will be BOHS P401 qualified and will have experience working in a UKAS accredited Asbestos Laboratory, undertaking sample analysis using PLM & stereo microscopy, ensuring all work is carried out in line with HSG 248 guidelines. Our client can offer further training and progression, generous holiday allowance, and enrolment onto the company pension scheme.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Rugley, Market Drayton, Cannock, Lichfield, Stoke-on-Trent, Leek, Whitchurch, Ashbourne, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Telford, Shrewsbury, Cannock, Wolverhampton, Ironbridge, Bridgnorth, Stourbridge.

Experience & Qualifications:
" At a minimum will hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
" Will have experience working in a busy laboratory environment, ideally within a UKAS accredited Asbestos Company.
" Well versed in HSG 248 guidelines.
" Excellent IT skills, able to complete job sheets accurately.
" Able to organise and prioritise workload in line with company and client needs.
" Keen eye for detail.

The Role:
" Working in a busy asbestos laboratory, ensuring to log all samples onto internal systems upon arrival.
" Ensuring to bag all samples safety and store correctly.
" Preparing samples for analysis.
" Carrying out sample analysis in line with HSG 248 guidelines using PLM and stereo microscopy.
" Completing analysis certificates, ensuring to submit to clients in a timely manner.
" Calibrating equipment to ensure sample accuracy.
" Following safe working practices, ensuring the laboratory is kept tidy.
" Assisting in maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Providing support and technical advice to clients when required.
