Do you have experience within a metal works environment and are looking for something new?

The Recruitment Co is currently looking for an operative to join a growing fabrication company in Barnsley.

What You Can Expect in This Role:

Assemble and fabricate metal components such as staircases, balustrades, and structural frames for both commercial and residential projects.
Interpret technical drawings and plans to accurately complete assembly and finishing tasks.
Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet company standards and client specifications.
Operate machinery, hand tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised work space, promoting productivity and safety.

What We Need From You:

Experience in metal works or a similar trade environment, with proficiency in welding (desirable) and using hand tools.
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Team player with effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as needed.
Physical ability to perform manual tasks and operate heavy equipment.

What We Can Offer:

An hourly rate of up to £13.50 an hour
A permanent, full-time position with a standard 37.5 hour work week.
