Learning Support Assistant (SEN)

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting an experienced Learning Support Assistant for a 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated SEN School located in the Southampton area.

This specialist school provides education and care for pupils aged 7-16 years with Complex Learning Difficulties & Associated Needs including: Autism, Speech & Language Disorders and Challenging Behaviour.

As a successful candidate you will be joining a dedicated team providing a nurturing and caring environment for all pupils to excel and ensuring the best education possible.

Previous experiences working within a schools setting and/or special educational needs would be advantageous but not essential as ongoing training will be offered throughout the role.

This fantastic school offers a pupil centred educational programme encouraging the developments of all pupils. Excellent opportunties to progress within education, seeking unqualified teachers & graduates.

Minimum rate of pay £90.00-105 per dayExperience, Training and Qualifications required for the Learning Support Assistant role:

Previous LSA experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
A passion for working with children with ASD, Aspergers, Complex Needs
GCSEs Maths & English
Preferable: Graduate, CACHE or NVQ
You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.To be eligible as an Learning Support Assistant role through Prospero Teaching you must:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
