H&S CDM Advisor

£45k-£50k plus benefits

Our multidisciplinary engineering client is seeking a Health & Safety/CDM Advisor to join their team in London.

You will provide expert advice and support to clients and project teams, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing H&S measures across all stages of construction, ensuring effective communication, and managing key documentation.

The role involves working closely with principal contractors and stakeholders to ensure safety standards are met and advising clients on the practical aspects of their projects in line with CDM regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Offer advice and support to clients and project teams in meeting H&S and CDM requirements.
Coordinate the integration of H&S measures throughout the planning and execution of construction phases.
Manage all relevant paperwork and ensure effective communication through appropriate channels.
Develop strategies for maintaining the flow of essential safety information at all stages of the project.
Liaise with contractors, designers, and stakeholders to ensure designs align with safety standards.
Provide clients with practical guidance on the feasibility of their projects in terms of health and safety compliance.
Oversee and manage a portfolio of internal and external client projects.
Collaborate with the wider H&S team to ensure a consistent and effective approach across all projects.

One thing to note is that this position may require clearance through various security checks, including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), Counter Terrorist Check (CTC), Security Check (SC), or Developed Vetting (DV).

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

Strong knowledge of legislation relevant to construction health and safety, CDM, and related regulations.
Health and Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Construction, TechIOSH, etc.).
Membership with IMAPS or equivalent professional body.
Previous experience in a CDM advisory role or similar capacity.
