Dunbar Education are working with a Primary School who is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant.

As a Teaching Assistant specialising in ADHD and Autism, you will provide tailored support to pupils with diverse learning needs. Your expertise will help create a positive and engaging atmosphere, enabling pupils to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with classroom teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for pupils with ADHD and Autism.
Provide one-on-one and group support to pupils, promoting their academic and social development.
Help create and maintain a structured and calming classroom environment.
Use specialised strategies and resources to engage pupils and facilitate learning.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and specialists, to support pupils' needs.
Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging their confidence and independence.Qualifications:

Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or special education (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
Experience working with children with ADHD and Autism in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support diverse needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
