Job Title: Legal Cashier
Salary: Circa £34,000
Location: St Albans
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week)
 
Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of an established professional services firm based in St Albans, seeking a proactive and experienced Legal Cashier to join their close-knit Accounts team.
 
Skills & Experience:
·Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a professional services environment.
·Strong understanding of legal accounting procedures and Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).
·Excellent attention to detail.,
·Good interpersonal and communication skills.
·A proactive and flexible approach to work with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Conduct daily bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately documented.
·Process payments including CHAPS and BACS, as well as inter-account transfers.
·Monitor client accounts, allocate receipts, and manage cheque transactions.
·Assist with billing and respond to account queries efficiently.
·Ensure full compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and internal policies.
·Prepare fee earner reports and provide general support to the team, including during staff absences or holidays.
