Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hackney
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a local Tier 1 Property Services Contractor based in Hackney, delivering planned retrofit works within the social housing sector. This role offers the quantity surveyor the chance to be part of vital energy efficiency projects, improving homes and contributing to sustainability goals.

The client is open to candidates from outside the social housing sector, provided they have a strong understanding of refurbishment works and a genuine interest in retrofit. This is a fantastic opportunity to transition into a growing and impactful area of construction.

Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities:

Managing the financial and commercial aspects of planned retrofit and refurbishment projects
Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and contract documentation
Overseeing subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments
Conducting cost analysis and forecasting to ensure projects stay within budget
Collaborating with project teams to ensure smooth delivery and compliance with sustainability standards
Liaising with clients and stakeholders to maintain excellent working relationships

Candidate Profile:

At least 5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally with exposure to refurbishment projects
Experience in the social housing or retrofit sectors is advantageous but not essential
Strong financial management, negotiation, and communication skills
Degree qualified is ideal, but not essential if you have the relevant experience
A genuine interest in sustainability and retrofit work
