Our client, a leading Builders Merchant committed to delivering exceptional customer service and quality products to the construction and building industries are looking for as Trade Counter Sales member to join their team. They pride themselves on their extensive product range and strong customer relationships.
They are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trade Counter Sales representative to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for the trade industry, excellent interpersonal skills, and a desire to contribute to the success of a business.
Greet and assist customers at the trade counter, providing knowledgeable advice on products and services.
Handle customer inquiries, process orders, and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Promote and upsell products to meet customers’ needs, contributing to sales targets.
Maintain a strong knowledge of the product range, pricing, and promotions.
Build and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers.
Assist in maintaining stock levels on the trade counter and in the showroom.
Ensure products are displayed correctly and the counter is well-presented at all times.
Report any low-stock or out-of-stock items to the relevant team members.
Process transactions accurately using the till system.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Experience:
Previous experience in a trade counter or sales role within a Builders Merchant or similar industry is highly desirable.
Familiarity with building materials and construction products is advantageous. Skills:
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Competency with basic IT systems and point-of-sale software.
Attributes:
A proactive, sales-oriented mindset.
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks, such as lifting and moving products.
A professional and approachable demeanour. Salary: Up to £30,000
