* Provide regular commercial reports and updates to senior management and key stakeholders, including cash flow forecasts and risk analysis.

* Ensure compliance with National Grid contract terms, safety standards, and governance frameworks.

* Work closely with project planners, engineers, and the project management team to align financial and commercial objectives with project delivery.

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in high voltage (HV) National Grid or infrastructure projects.

* Strong understanding of cost control, contract management, and project finance within HV construction.

* Familiarity with National Grid governance, safety standards, and contract frameworks.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, suppliers, and clients.

* Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.

* Proficient in using industry-standard software for cost management and reporting.

Qualifications:

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.

* Professional membership such as RICS, CIOB, or equivalent is desirable.

* Experience working on National Grid Transmission Owner (TO) or Distribution Network Operator (DNO) projects is highly advantageous.

Why Join Us?

* Opportunity to work on major high voltage infrastructure projects that play a crucial role in the UK's energy future.

* Competitive freelance rates with flexible working arrangements, including remote options.

* Collaborate with a team of industry professionals on some of the most important energy projects in the UK.
