Year 1 Teaching Assistant Needed - Primary School in North London, Haringey Borough

An excellent primary school in the Haringey Borough of North London is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Year 1 class. This Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting a pupil with an EHCP, focusing on Autism support. The school requires an experienced Teaching Assistant who can create a structured, nurturing environment for the child, helping them engage with the curriculum and social activities. This is a long-term Teaching Assistant position running until July 2025, with the potential for a permanent position following the academic year.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

Provide 1:1 support to the child, tailoring activities to suit their needs and learning pace.
Collaborate closely with teachers and staff, ensuring cohesive support for the child.
Monitor and report on progress, adapting strategies as necessary to support the child's development.Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:

Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant with children who have Autism.
Ability to implement strong behaviour management strategies.
