Are you an NPD Technologist looking for something new? I have an exciting new role with a European Food Group, who are market leaders in their field.

Paying up to £50k depending on experience, this £700 million t/o and growing organisation is looking to recruit an experience NPD Technologist to join its friendly and established team.

This fabulous role would suit someone who is looking for a new challenge, in an excellent working environment including state of the art innovation suite/NPD Kitchen, with working hours that provide the perfect work-life balance, but also progression possibilities for the right candidate.

Key Duties

* Develop new products and record all required information to generate an accurate costing and maintain critical paths.

* Follow the companies gated NPD process

* Work closely with other relevant cross-sectional departments.

* Must have excellent time management skills and be responsible for self-supervision.

* Maintaining a level of hygiene in NPD kitchen as required for a working kitchen.

* Collection of ingredients, making samples and panelling samples with the team.

* Develop new products and record all required information to generate an accurate costing and maintain critical paths.

* To run internal benchmarking sessions & manage a rolling calendar to ensure all lines are benchmarked at least once every 6 months.

* Data entry into the company ACCESS system, to maintain Bill of Materials

* Provide a report to the marketing and commercial team to feed recommendations into existing products

* Accountable for running & documenting organoleptic shelf-life panel for NPD/lines

Essential Skills and Experience

* Previous experience in a similar NPD development role.

* Degree or equivalent in science/ food science related qualification.

* An innovative thinking “foodie” with an eye for detail

* A creative individual with a real passion for food.

* Good numeracy skills, understanding of %s.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

* Effective interpretation and translation of information with good report writing skills.
