Senior Quantity Surveyor

GRS are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading engineering company delivering innovative infrastructure projects across the utilities sector. In this office-based role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead cost management for high-profile projects that play a key role in essential services across the UK and Ireland.
About the Role: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee project finances, ensuring optimal cost management and contract compliance. Working closely with project teams and senior management, you’ll provide strategic financial oversight to guide projects through each stage, from initial estimation to final accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage overall cost control, budget analysis, and forecasting across multiple projects
* Lead contract administration and negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Prepare and oversee valuations, interim applications, and final accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Conduct in-depth financial reporting, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses
* Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in quantity surveying
* Support project stakeholders with strategic financial insights to guide decision-making
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in a senior quantity surveying role, ideally within the infrastructure or utilities sectors
* Expertise in contract management, cost control, and construction financial reporting
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage client and subcontractor relationships
* Proficiency with relevant industry software and knowledge of standards and regulations.
