SEN Teaching Assistant wanted for an 'Outstanding' secondary school in Harrow

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary school in Harrow to appoint a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be working within the school's ASD base to support students in KS3 and KS4 on a 1:1 basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting students with autism and a range of learning difficulties, as well as a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students with autism and a range of learning difficulties on a 1:1 basis
Implementing individualized support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
Collaborating with teachers and other members of the support team to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working with students with autism and a range of learning difficulties
Strong understanding of the needs of students with SEN and the ability to implement effective support strategies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A positive and proactive approach to supporting students and a passion for making a difference
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff

This is a full-time role, starting after February half term and running until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity to go permanent. The daily rate for this position is £80 to £90.
