The Role:

We're looking for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our facility and equipment. Your work will help uphold health and safety standards, optimize costs, maintain quality, and support our business goals.

So, what will you be doing as a Facilities Maintenance Technician?

* Applying your expertise to maintain and repair existing plant and equipment, ensuring they meet the needs of the business.

* Providing technical support and high-quality service to different departments within the company.

* Participating in an out-of-hours shift scheme to handle urgent maintenance tasks and breakdowns effectively.

* Managing and completing assigned preventative maintenance tasks to maximize plant efficiency while identifying and communicating potential risks.

* Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with statutory, legal, and company requirements, with a strong focus on health and safety (HSE) and ethical standards.

* Overseeing controls, alarms, and service agreements with subcontractors, ensuring they align with budget and company policies.

* Driving continuous improvement and adopting innovative technologies to enhance facilities maintenance practices.

What are we looking for in our next Facilities Maintenance Technician?

* At least 5 years in a facilities maintenance role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

* Willingness to work a rolling shift schedule (five 10-hour days followed by three days off).

* Familiarity with water systems, electrical distribution (415v and below; 11kv knowledge is a bonus).

* Experience with fire alarms, air-conditioning, BEMS/Trend systems, process chillers, and control systems.

* A solid understanding of Preventative Maintenance practices.

* Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); SAP experience is desirable.

* Strong knowledge of safe working practices, including HSE policies, Risk Assessments, and COSHH procedures.
