Automation Test Analyst

My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Test Analyst to contribute to the design, testing, and quality assurance of their award-winning software platforms. This role is vital in ensuring that software and hardware products meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and user satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for automation testing across web applications, REST APIs, and end-to-end business logic.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and run automated test cases, ensuring thorough coverage and identifying defects early in the development cycle. The role requires someone adaptable, proactive, and able to maintain high-quality testing processes in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts based on technical and functional requirements.

Enhance and manage the existing test automation framework, addressing new features, improvements, and bug fixes.

Create and manage regression test suites to ensure consistent test coverage.

Plan, execute, and report on tests to support the software development lifecycle.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and set appropriate acceptance criteria.

Provide recommendations for improving automation strategies and test effectiveness.

Help the team transition from manual testing to fully automated processes.

Ensure adherence to best practices while responding to changes in workload and project requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:

Certifications: Ideally, ISEB or ISTQB certified.

Experience: At least three years in a similar role, with a strong focus on automation testing.

Automation Tools: Proficiency with Selenium (Java), Python, Postman, and TestComplete.

Framework Development: Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.

Manual to Automation Transition: Ability to guide teams in transitioning from manual to automated testing processes.

Testing Platforms: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test management, including bug tracking and reporting.

Software Testing Knowledge: Familiarity with the entire software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Networking: Knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, and multicast would be beneficial.

Attention to Detail: Ability to create clear and precise bug reports and ensure thorough testing coverage.
