Alecto Recruitment is working with our client who is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing fleet repairs in-house and ensuring our HGV fleet complies with legal and company standards.

Job Title: HGV Technician
Salary: £41,990 - £45,139 per annum
Hours: Guaranteed 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus 1 weekend day every 2 weeks (with one weekday off in lieu).

Overtime premium for weekend work.

Overview:
Alecto Recruitment is working with our client who is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing fleet repairs in-house and ensuring our HGV fleet complies with legal and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and maintain the HGV fleet to meet legal and company standards.
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport them to the Test Centre.
Record vehicle defects and maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
Repair minor accident damage and carry out fault diagnosis.
Actively seek solutions to mechanical issues and provide excellent customer service.
Work with vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment.Key Skills & Experience:

Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload effectively.
Positive, self-motivated attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude towards work.Qualifications:

Commercial experience with HGVs is essential.
Full HGV C+E licence is required.
City & Guilds part 1, 2, & 3 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.Benefits:
